School days

I am sure that coming to school doesn´t mean the same to all of you. While for some of you it may be a pleasure, coming to school can be tedious for some others. Subjects at school are varied and I would like to know which ones you like or enjoy and which ones you can´t stand or even hate.

Here you wil find the hangman game with words related to the topic of school subjects.

We are what we eat

Nutritionists insist on the importance of a good diet. Do you think your diet is healthy? Have a look at the food pyramid and revise what you usually eat. Write a short paragraph on your daily meals

Here I leave you a "food-art collection" to inspire you in case you may not like vegetables or fruit

Merry Christmas

My dear pupils,

As you know, I do not feel well. I don´t think I will see you before Christmas holiday, so I wish you the best for these days. I hope you behave well with Cristina. It is a pity that we could not finish the term together, doing some funny activities on Christmas. Just in case you feel bored during these long vacation, here you have some links on Christmas games. I hope you enjoy them but remember to bring your exercises on L.A. detective done in January. (Recordeu que heu de fer els exercicis del llibre de lectura L.A. Detective i presentar-los en tornar de vacances)

Advent Calendar

Christmas is here. Though we are still in November, everybody is thinking about Christmas. Advertisements remind us that the date is near and cities and towns look gorgeous and colourful with thousands of light bulbs. But is Christmas in England celebrated the same way as it is here in Spain? Do you know about the tradition of the advent calendar? Having a countdown calendar for Christmas was a popular tradition that began in Germany in the late 1800s and spred throughout Europe and North America. Advent Calendars are a funny way for children to count down to the night of December 24th when Santa Claus brings their toys. Nowadays many adults also enjoy advent calendars (usually with a chocolate treat behind each door!). "Advent" id from the Latin "adventus", meaning "the coming"(the church´s preparation for Christmas)

Here you have a special advent calendar which, instead of giving you chocolates, provides you with food for thought. I hope you enjoy the game and I wish you a happy countdown to Christmas Holiday
